The moon would still appear
in between bars and buildings
Anything nature among bricks
and concrete is more appreciated;
a sunrise-sky with peachy colors appearing in any city center;
a burning moon at the end of a late night highway;
and a starry night above city lights and midnight fights
It reminds us of all the elements
that were here first
Stripping the man-made away,
we are left with the beauty of the world;
everything that has blossomed and survived on its own
No human hands needed to make the waves break
And then I think to myself as Louis Armstrong would sing it:
“What a wonderful world”.
